Man Gwok Seng is enjoying a pre-retirement trip to Hawaii with his wife, Lam Jing Jing, when she is struck by a rare virus that invades her brain, putting her in critical condition. Although Jing Jing eventually survives, part of her brain is already necrotic and her speech and mobility are severely impaired.
